Every engine follows the same cycle. What changes between them is the size of the swing they hunt and how they manage the trade.
Find the level
On each new M15 or H1 candle the engine scans for a swing high or low that price has not broken yet.
Place the stop order
A Buy Stop goes just under the swing high and a Sell Stop just over the swing low, with stop loss and take profit attached.
Catch the breakout
Nothing opens until price actually moves through the level. If it never does, the order expires and is cleaned up.
Trail the profit
Once the trade moves into profit, a trailing stop follows price and locks in gains until take profit or the trailing stop is hit.
Four engines, four kinds of level
Each engine has its own magic number and money management, so you can run all four or pick one. The bar shows how far back each engine searches, in H1 candles.
Short-term structure. Keeps a ladder of up to six Buy Stops and six Sell Stops on different levels, so it can catch several breakouts in a trend.

Session breakout. Confirms each level twice, trades it only once, and only between 01:15 and 22:15 server time.

Built-in protection
Hard stop on every order
Stop loss and take profit are part of the order itself, so every position is protected from its first second.
Spread and session filters
Scrap C and D pause above 80 points of spread. Scrap B only trades inside its session window.
Friday cleanup
All pending orders are removed from Friday 22:00 server time, so nothing is waiting through the weekend gap.
Optional news filter
Pauses new entries and removes pending orders 30 minutes before and after high-impact USD news.
Broker checks before sending
Volume limits, stop level, free margin and MT5 OrderCheck are verified first. Anything that fails is skipped and logged.
Order expiry
Pending orders that are not triggered in time are deleted automatically, so stale levels never fill late.

Which broker and account type should I use?
Any MetaTrader 5 broker that offers XAUUSD. A low-spread account (ECN or Raw) works best, because high spreads block Scrap C and D and reduce profit on every trade. A hedging account is recommended.
How much do I need to start?
It depends on the preset: $500 for High Risk, $1,000 for Default and Medium, $2,000 for Low Risk. Below the minimum the EA still trades the smallest lot (0.01), which makes the risk higher than the preset intends.
Does it use martingale, grid or averaging?
No. Lot size comes only from your money management setting and never increases after a loss. Every trade has its own stop loss.
Which chart timeframe do I attach it to?
Any. ScraperGold reads H1 and M15 data internally, so the chart timeframe does not change its trading. Use one XAUUSD chart only.
Can I backtest it myself?
Yes, in the MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester. Use "Every tick based on real ticks" for the most realistic result. The news filter is switched off automatically in the tester.
Do I need a VPS?
It is strongly recommended. The EA needs to run 24/5, and a VPS close to your broker's server keeps execution fast.
My broker quotes gold with 3 decimals. Will it work?
The distances are set in broker points and tuned for 2-decimal gold quotes. On a 3-decimal quote they become 10 times smaller in price, so test on a demo account first and message us on MQL5 before going live.
