Tested in the MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester on the Vantage Markets demo server with 99% history quality (307 million real ticks). The largest drawdown in percentage terms was 25.48% of equity ($1,788.92) in September 2023, early in the test. The largest drawdown in dollars was $11,354.07, which was 8.69% of the account at that time.
These are simulated backtest results, not live trading. No commission was applied, and real accounts face spread widening, slippage and execution delay, so live results will differ and can be worse. Past performance does not guarantee future results.

Low risk
The steadiest traps with tighter filters. The base of every frequency setting.
Medium risk
More trades and bigger targets, added as you move up to Moderate and Intense.
High risk
The most active traps with the widest swings.
Built-in protection
Every safeguard runs automatically from the moment the EA is on your chart.
Hard stop on every order
Stop loss and take profit are sent with the pending order, so a position is protected from its first second.
NFP filter
Closes trades and removes orders 100 minutes before Non-Farm Payrolls and waits 60 minutes after.
Automatic GMT detection
Reads your broker's time zone, so news times line up on any server.
Fake breakout filter
Low, Medium or High strength to skip breakouts likely to fail. Medium by default.
Spread and margin checks
No order when spread is above your limit or margin is too low. Volume and stop level are checked first.
Order expiry
Pending orders that are not triggered in time are deleted, so old levels never fill late.
You choose the risk
Two settings decide it: how many traps run, and the largest drawdown you accept. Lots grow with your balance and never increase after a loss.
Trade frequency
How many of the nine traps are active.
Picks the frequency from your balance and your drawdown setting. This is the default and the setting used in the backtest.
Your drawdown limit
Lots are sized so the traps' historical drawdown fits inside the limit you set.
is the most the EA plans to let your account fall from its peak. It is a sizing target based on history, not a guarantee.

Which broker and account type should I use?
Any MetaTrader 5 broker that offers XAUUSD. A low-spread account (ECN or Raw) works best, because every breakout entry pays the spread. A hedging account is recommended, since buy and sell traps can be active at the same time.
How much do I need to start?
The backtest started with $5,000. On small accounts the EA trades the smallest lot (0.01), which makes the real risk higher than the setting intends until the balance grows. A larger balance gives the lot sizing more room.
Does it use martingale, grid or averaging?
No. Lot size comes only from your risk setting and balance, and never increases after a loss. Every order has its own stop loss.
Which chart timeframe do I attach it to?
Use one XAUUSD chart, any timeframe. The traps read their own timeframes internally.
Does it work with 3-decimal gold quotes?
Yes. Distances are converted automatically, so gold quoted with 2 or 3 decimals trades the same price distances.
Can I backtest it myself?
Yes, in the MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester with "Every tick based on real ticks". A multi-year test takes a few hours, so start with a few months if you just want to see it trade.
Do I need a VPS?
Strongly recommended. The EA runs 24/5, and a VPS close to your broker keeps execution fast.
